Before you find self love, you might be fooled into thinking that you have to do something to earn it or deserve it.
But once you love yourself, you realise that there is nothing you needed to do in order to be worthy and more importantly, there is nothing you can do to take away your right to self love.
You do not need to be a good person in order to be worthy of self love. Self love makes you a nicer person because when you are nice to yourself, you are nicer to others. When you love yourself, you are less judgemental of yourself and therefore others.
You do not need to be clever in order to be worthy of self love. Self love makes you smarter because you are able to recognise the difference between what you were taught and what you actually believe. It teaches you what is your own internal voice and what is your brain repeating the words around you.
You do not need to be beautiful in order to be worthy of self love. Self love makes you more beautiful because you see all the good things in the mirror that the world taught you to ignore. You see what’s real and not what has been fabricated as beauty in society.
You do not need to be perfect in order to be worthy of self love. Self love makes you perfect as you are because you realise perfection is simply an illusion and that every human in the world makes mistakes. It shows you that as long as you learn and grow from your experiences, then a mistake was never a mistake.
