HAPPY INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY.
Last year I released the Scarred Not Scared campaign video and this year, I want to urge you to embrace the word “feminist”. I am a feminist and I don’t shy away from using that word because it’s important.
There are few words in the English language that put “fem-” in it and that emphasis on the female aspect is important. Words matter and you don’t see us complaining about using the word mankind. Even male insults still relate to the woman – son of a Bitch, bastard all still place blame on the mother, not the male themselves.
