If you are thin, stop calling yourself fat.

November 22, 2016

Fat people aren’t entitled to insecurities anymore than skinny people so we need to stop using the word “fat” to justify your body image woes.

I made a whole video on this today. I talk about plus size models and how we need to be asking for plus size models that are actually plus size. Nike are being praised for using a plus size woman in their campaigns, yet the company doesn’t actually accommodate for plus size women. Calvin Klein are being praised for using a ‘plus size’ model yet the model has a body that very much fits into standard beauty stereotypes and is a body that would make young girls envious. We need to start asking for plus size models that are actually plus size and for brands to not include these models as tokens to boost the publicity of their brand.
